We can perform a large number of standard aquatic toxicity biotests according to OECD and EPA guidelines
We have capabilities to conduct Fish Embryo Toxicity (FET, OECD TG236) tests with wild-type as well as diverse transgenic zebrafish (Danio rerio) lines.
We specialise in neuro-behavioural biotests in neurotoxicology, ecotoxicology and neuropharmacology. We have a wide range of invertebrate and fish models available.
Cell & Molecular Assays
We can perform diverse cell-based and in-situ bioassays ranging from programmed cell death, mitochondrial toxicity to immunohistochemistry, ELISA, enzymatic activity and electro-physiology.
We are one of the very few laboratories equipped with an iCys Laser Scanning Cytometer for multi-parapet quantitative analysis on tissues and adherent cells.
We have extensive experience in flow cytometric analysis of cell death, mitochondrial function and cell cycle assays. Our in house flow cytometry system is a 488 nm / 633 nm four colour unit.
We have in-house upright and inverted wide-field epi-fluorescent microscopy systems as well as unique stereo-microscopy platform for rapid in-situ imaging.
Infrared Video Imaging
We are equipped with a ZebraBox as well as several custom ultra-high-definition (4K) and high-definition (1080p) infrared video-imaging platforms for behavioural tests.
We have in house design and rapid prototyping capabilities to develop micro-perfusion systems for experiments on small aquatic model organisms.
