Professor Donald Wlodkowic is one of Australia's leading experts in behavioral ecotoxicology and eco-neurotoxicology. His research interests encompass the effects of industrial pollutants, neurotoxins, and neuroactive drugs on central nervous systems.

Donald also holds an outstanding international reputation as an innovator in the engineering area of bioanalytical technologies. His laboratory has spearheaded numerous state-of-the-art advancements, including microperfusion systems for toxicology studies, automated apparatuses, and high-throughput video acquisition methods for analyzing aquatic animal behavior.
